Skool Vault Pro captures any standard HLS (.m3u8) or progressive MP4 stream your browser can already play. That includes lessons hosted on Vimeo, Loom, Wistia, Cloudflare Stream, Mux, and most self-hosted players embedded inside community platforms. DRM-protected content (Widevine, FairPlay, PlayReady) is intentionally not supported.

Yes. The extension automatically parses the HLS master playlist, selects the highest available resolution, and merges split audio and video renditions into a single MP4 in the browser — no re-encoding, no quality loss, and no separate audio file left behind.

A worker pool fetches up to 32 HLS segments in parallel and reassembles them in order. In practice, a 150 MB, one-hour lecture typically finishes in under a minute on a standard broadband connection — network-bound, not extension-bound.

Every file is saved directly to your browser's default Downloads folder using the original lesson or page title as the filename. No hidden subfolders, no VidVault/ or SkoolVault/ directories — just clean, correctly named MP4s.

No hard limit. Segments are streamed as Uint8Array chunks and the final Blob can spill to disk, so multi-hour videos above 5 GB have been tested and confirmed working without memory crashes.
